Since 2015, Nara prefecture has been holding a seminar for tour guides to improve their quality and accordingly to offer much more hospitality to foreign tourists. From the participants of the seminar, Nara prefecture chooses tour guides who surpassed its qualifying standards, as Nara-prefecture Authorized Tour Experts. In 2015, four guides were chosen, and in 2016, 10 guides.

In April 2016, NATEX (Nara-prefecture Authorized Tour EXpert group) was founded by the two members of the Experts and two supporters. The purpose of the group is to offer foreign tourists fine experience and high-grade hospitality. Thus, from May 2016, the group started to help conducting Full Nara Experience Bus Tour, and gained very high reputation from the guests .

NATEX also cooperate with local tourist information bureaus such as Nara Visitor Center & Inn and Nara City Tourist Association, to create handy tours and unique experiences. For example, in Craftwalk, we stroll around Naramachi town, and in the latter part of the tour, we make an original accessory of a flower or a deer. This is truly a unique experience you cannot find in any other tours!
